Physician Education Series: Pediatric Obesity Treatment and Bariatric Surgery

This presentation will provide AAP updates to treatment guidelines for pediatric obesity. In addition, Dr. Cusick will discuss the indications for pediatric bariatric surgery and how the Boys Town Pediatric Weight Management Clinic (also known as the SPARK Clinic) prepares patients for surgery over the course of several months. The course will also include a reviews of long-term bariatric surgery outcomes, both nationally and at Boys Town National Research Hospital.
