Car Seat Expiration Date - Boys Town Pediatrics & National Safety Council Nebraska
Tim Tichy, Community Safety Manager
Tim Tichy: Most expire after six years but there have been some improvements in plastics and construction. Some are constructed with more metal then plastic or have metal frames in them so they might be beyond six years. You will see on the label or embedded in the plastic it will say do not use after so and so date.
