Boys Town Vision Program Hosts 16th Annual Beeping Egg Hunt
Tuesday, April 9, 2024
Children with visual impairments and their families were invited to the Boys Town Hall of History on Saturday, March 23 for the 16th Annual Beeping Egg Hunt. This event, hosted by the
Boys Town Vision Program, is a non-traditional egg hunt where children use their ears rather than their eyes to find the eggs.
Before the children arrived, large plastic eggs that emit a beeping noise were hidden throughout the Hall of History. The egg hunters, both children with visual impairments and their siblings with typical vision, followed the noise to find the plastic eggs and traded them for prizes.
When the children weren't egg hunting, they enjoyed music by The Coconuts and taking photos with small live animals.
