Boys Town National Research Hospital Nurses Recognized by Nebraska Nurses Association
Thursday, May 22, 2025
Ten nurses from Boys Town National Research Hospital were honored at the Positive Image of Nursing breakfast on Saturday, May 3 at the Scott Conference Center. This annual event, hosted by the Nebraska Nurses Association (NNA), recognizes nurses for their commitment and dedication to their profession. The nurses are nominated by their peers for their excellence in nursing.
“What I find most rewarding as a nurse in inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry is being able to support young people during some of their most vulnerable moments," Brenda Storms, RN, said when asked what she enjoys most about her work as a nurse. “Helping them feel safe, heard and valued, often in times of deep crisis, is both challenging and incredibly meaningful. Watching a child regain trust, learn to express themself or simply smile again after days of struggle is something I will never take for granted."
