Treatment Team
Children and adolescents spend each day with highly trained and supervised staff. Following the Psycho-Educational Treatment Model, all staff members actively teach appropriate behavior to replace individual problem behaviors identified at admission. Individuals also are taught various self-control options to be used in times of stress or in situations where they have historically engaged in inappropriate behavior.
Individual Assessment
From the time of admission, each child or adolescent is assessed by a multi-disciplinary team led by the medical director/child and adolescent psychiatrist in order to gather critical information for the treatment plan. Appropriate members from the individual’s family/guardians and community, such as clergy, therapists, case managers and juvenile justice are included on the team.
Secure web-based technology allows real-time communication with team members from the community and allows for family therapy.
